October 2004
Greetings from all of us here at Stowford. I hope you enjoyed the season with us, despite the inclement weather. I write to keep you up to date with all our news and events.
New Name & Brochure
2005 will see the introduction of a new comprehensive 18 page brochure. To reflect our improved and extended facilities we have adopted the title of "Stowford Country Holidays". This will incorporate all aspects of the business including the Holiday Lodges although Stowford Farm Meadows will retain its identity as a Caravan and Camping Park. We hope you will approve.
Stowford Country Lodges
As you may already be aware, our long awaited planning permission for 250 holiday lodges on the eastern side of the farm was finalised in the Spring. Phase 1, the building of 40 lodges in Higher Bridge Park, will commence this Winter. A detailed 12 page brochure is now available. Please feel free to contact us if you are interested.
New Bookings & Storage System
Towards the end of November we will be upgrading our computer systems. This will necessitate some changes including a new storage account reference for all storage customers. We will be writing to you again in the New Year with further information on this matter.
Caravan Sales
The unprecedented success of our Caravan Sales has presented us with the problem of outgrowing our current location. After much deliberation Sales will now be situated in the Field 1 Seasonal Area where we anticipate being able to offer a larger range of new and pre-owned caravans. To complement our Fleetwood & Adria Dealership we hope that another one of the UK's leading manufactures will award us the same privilege some time next year.
If you are considering buying a caravan or are selling and would like a price, please telephone either Darren or Tom in the Caravan Workshop on 01271 883335. We can now also arrange finance through Black Horse should this be required.
Exhibitions.
Over the winter period Stowford will be attending the major caravan exhibitions around the country, including:-
- Earl's Court, London in November 2004
- Cardiff in January 2005
- GMEX, Manchester in January and March 2005
- NEC, Birmingham in February 2005
We will also be selling caravans at these venues on the Fleetwood/Adria stands so please look out for us. We will no doubt have some outstanding offers for you to enjoy!
Winter Servicing.
Just a reminder to you that if you wish to take advantage of the winter discounted servicing rates please ring the workshop on 01271 883335 and book the work in as soon as possible. The winter rates will only apply to work booked in before Christmas. If you ring to arrange work in January 2005, the normal rates will apply Work booked in after Christmas is unlikely to be done until after Easter.
Caravan Washes.
If you wish to have your caravan washed ahead of the start of next season please book this as soon as possible. The cost of an exterior wash is £35.25 inc vat.
Stowford Discounted Caravan Insurance.
If your caravan is insured through us you should have already received your renewal letter. All premiums expire on 31st October 2004 and we would ask you to make sure that we receive renewcal premiums before this date to avoid lapses in cover. Completion of a new application form is unnecessary for existing policies; simply return your payment with your Storage Reference. For those of you who are not already aware, we are able to offer discounted caravan insurance for all year round storage customers who do not require road cover. We would be happy to send an information/application form if you would like further details. I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that any caravan stored here must be fully insured.
Seasonal Pitches.
Over the winter we will be developing several more seasonal pitches in the forrner Rally Field Snow Close. These will be accessed by tarmac roads and will have shared water and drainage. Some are already taken but anyone interested in a seasonal pitch should contact Gilly on 01271 882476.
Awards.
So far this has proved a fruitful year for us in terms of awards. You may recall that earlier this year Practical Caravan Magazine awarded us the accolade of 'Overall Winner' in their 2004 UK Top 100 Parks Awards. Since that time our Caravan Sales project won 'Best New Dealer' at the 2004 Fleetwood Awards in August. Furthermore, we have recently been notified that we have been awarded the David Bellamy 'Cold Award' 2004 for conservation. Once again we hope you will approve.
I hope you have found this to be of interest and we look forward to welcoming you back to Stowford at Easter. As Easter is early next year we will be opening on the 18th March 2005. Yours sincerely,
Andrew Noall
