Hi Darren,
Good Site very interesting.
Perhaps you could help with a fault I have with my Fridge.
It failed to cool when we went away one weekend last year. I cleaned all the bits up and it fired up OK with a healthy flame that is constant. However it still did not cool!! I did the same again plus having it upside down for 24 hrs. It still failed to cool when on gas.
However, we then went away for a week and used mains and hey presto itcooled just fine. On a later weekend though when it was back to gas it would not cool at all.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Because the fridge worked on 240v it means that the refrigeration section is working fine.If the fridge hasn't been moved, worked on 240v then didn't work on gas, the only thing I can think of is that the flame isn't strong enough
The only thing the three diffrent power sources do is too add heat to the same tube. The only way to test this is to insure that there is a difference in the flame picture between high and low or numbers 1, 2 and 3
If there isn't it could need stripping apart again. If the fridge has been moved if could just be bad luck and the fridge didn't settle before the gas was put on.It's a hard one to deal with without seeing the flame for myself.
Hope this helps,
Darren
