Elite Tap

The Elite tap has a few recurring problems,

1. The main one is the spout splitting, this happens normally after winter. To avoid the problem the water system must be drained and the tap left open in a central position.
2. The microswitch can fail and need to be replaced.
3. The tap can leak from the main body.

Replacing Spout

This is an easy job, all you need is a small flat and a Philips screwdriver.

1. Remove the hot and cold indicator with the small flat screwdriver.
2. Undo the Philips screw and remove the tap top.
3. Squeeze the two small plastic clips inwards pull off top part of tap body.
4. The spout can then be removed, it may take some wiggling.
5. Reverse steps 4-1.

Replacing Microswitch

1. Remove the hot and cold indicator with the small flat screwdriver.
2. Undo the Philips screw and remove the tap top.
3. Remove microswitch from fixing, disconnect from 12v wire, This is not polarity sensitive, it doesn't matter which way the wires go on.
