| Rusty Fire Pipes The pipes that feed the burner are made from steel. Copper can't be used because of the heat produced by the fire.Over time the steel rusts, they will eventually corrode to such a point that they will become dangerous and start to leak. With gas leaking so close to the burner fire is inevitable. It is very important to check the pipes on all the models of fire below.
